Fall 2017 Election Dates

September
11th: Initial email goes out campus wide
17th: Fall Freshman Elections Informational:
8:30 pm in MSC 2500
17th: Senate must have vacancies reported by 11:59 p.m.
18th: Filing begins at 10:00 a.m. – Send 2nd campus wide email
20th: Filing ends at 3:00 p.m.
22nd: SGA advisor must have candidates certified by end of day
23rd: Mandatory Candidate’s Meeting Excuses due by 7 p.m.
24th: Mandatory Candidate’s Meeting
7:00 pm in MSC 1400
Pre-campaigning begins at conclusion of candidate’s
meeting
25th: General campaigning begins at 8:00 a.m.
25th: Sample ballot must be approved by 5:00 p.m.
26th: Final ballot will be posted and sent to the Battalion
27th: General campaigning ends at 5:00 p.m.
28th: Modified campaigning 8:00 am - 5:00pm
28th: Voting opens at 8:00 am
28th: Expense reports due by 5:00 pm
29th: Modified campaigning 8:00 am - 12 pm
29th: Voting closes at 12:00 pm
29th: Results announced no earlier than 7:00 pm
30th: Expense reports posted online by 7:00 pm
October
1st: All write-in winners must submit necessary paperwork by
7:00 pm
1st: Results certified by J-Court
2nd: All campaign material must be removed
9th: All fine must be paid by 12:00 pm
